For those of you who know me, you know that I LOVE BIRTHDAYS!!! The ones of my hubby, my children, my friends.....MINE! LOL! A group of friends and I went to lunch to celebrate my upcoming birthday as well as another friends, Jennifer. We had a co-birthday lunch at a neighboring cities restaurant followed by a day of shopping. The restaurant is a very yummy steak place called Texas Roadhouse. Their food is delicious and the atmosphere is fun! We had such an enjoyable time. Then, the cat got let out of the bag that we were there celebrating birthdays, and the manager of the restaurant decided we couldn't get our checks until they sang to us, Texas Roadhouse style. I wasn't too excited about that part, I have to admit. Well, let me assure you, I was spot on with my gut feeling!
The waiters & waitresses are VERY LOUD here! And, they bring out a big horse's saddle for the "birthday person" to get on while they get everyone's attention in the restaurant! I didn't think I'd like that so much, so I talked Jennifer into doing it! Hooray for me! She was a FABULOUS sport, and took it like a champ. She did say I owed her! But, regardless, we muttled through, had a fun time, and then went shopping afterwards. So much fun! Thanks Buffy, Jennifer, Diantha and Erica for a fun afternoon! Happy Birthday to US!
