Did I Forget to Mention?

Tonight, I got to go to dinner with my very handsome sons and husband. They were sweethearts and took me out to dinner so I wouldn't have to cook on my birthday! Wasn't that sweet of them? So, we headed to the restaurant, ordered dinner, and were having a completely enjoyable time.

Jackson and I shared a booth. He felt we should sit together since we share a birthday month! I couldn't resist! Contrary to previous blog postings, I don't usually drink when we go out. But, tonight I decided, "It's my birthday! Why the hell not?" So, I even imbibed in an alcohol laden birthday beverage! Yummy Amaretto Sour! De-lish!

All was going really well......that is....until Daniel decided to announce, "When that waitress comes back, I'm gonna tell her it's MY Mommy's birthday!" Oh joy and rapture! Noah decided that this was a FABULOUS idea, and he REALLY wanted to see what they did for birthdays at this great new restaurant that they'd never been to before! "And," he said, "I think I'm gonna totally find out TONIGHT." You can insert evil pre-teen, male voice changing laughter here! LOL! True to form my children did exactly as they said they were going to! As our waitress approached our table, they abruptly blurted out, loudly, "IT'S OUR MOM'S BIRTHDAY!!!!" To which she sweetly replied, "Yes, I know! I heard that too!" I was like, WHAT THE HELL???? Oh, have I failed to mention which restaurant my handsome family took me too??????? You guessed it! TEXAS (FREAKIN') ROADHOUSE!!! The one with the DAMN saddle and LOUD wait staff!!! As if that wasn't bad enough, the place was JAM PACKED with people! It figures! I might add that all of my children have those GOREGEOUS big, brown eyes. They're IMPOSSIBLE to resist.

Just as if the full shot wasn't enough, Noah so kindly zoomed in on my ENORMOUS CABOOSE! Oh, he WILL pay for this one day! LOL! I guess at least, I have complete proof that I really did this completely embarassing activity! So much for a "Happy" Birthday! LOL!
