I mentioned a few blogs ago that I host an annual girls only weekend for a group of my close friends. Well, many might wonder what John and the boys do while we are doing that. Each year it's something different, and John makes sure it is something wonderful and fun for him and the boys to do together. One year it was an indoor water park! This year a friend of John's offered to let them come to his cabin on the lake in Indiana. The lake is chock full of fish. Daniel hadn't ever been fishing before, and it's something John loves to do, but never has time to get a chance to. So, Noah, Jackson, Daniel, Matt and John headed over to Indiana to enjoy a little bit of rustic relaxation. Turns out, it wasn't as rustic as they thought! They had a nice cabin, and lots of time to enjoy the outdoors. The weather cooperated and was quite beautiful! Our boys got a real chance to bond with their Daddy and Uncle Matt. They fished, roasted marshmallows, had S'Mores, told ghost stories around the campfire and had an all around good time. Jackson caught the first fish of the weekend, and Noah caught the biggest. Daniel mostly casted his line all day long and got it tangled. Uncle Matt was on the lookout for getting a fish hook in the eyeball! I am pleased to report that everyone came back with all of their extremeties in tact, and without any damage!
