Muffins for Moms (and Aunties) at Miami East Elementary

Friday was Muffins for Moms day at our elementary school. This was the first year that Noah didn't get to go, because he has graduated up to Junior High. And, this year, there was also another first, Aunt Suzanne got to go with us since she surprised us the night before with her arrival from Arizona! Fun! (Daniel was especially excited about this, because he completely slept through the excitment the night before!) He was excited until he got there, and realized that they only had Muffins! He wanted to know where the DOUGHNUTS were??? I tried to explain to him that it was called "Muffins for Moms" for a reason, and that next Friday he could go to "Donuts for Dads" and have a donut with Daddy and Uncle Matt. You can tell by the look on his face that he wasn't exactly thrilled with this information "in the moment", if you will. After he realized, however, that they DID have chocolate milk, and that brightened up his day a bit. That and getting to see his buddies from kindergarten with their moms, too. Jackson was just glad to be there with Aunt Suzanne. He isn't much of a breakfast eater, so he concentrated on HER fabulousness instead! We ate with my cousin Tracy and her oldest daughter Gretchen and a few of their friends. All in all, it was a fun morning. I'm really glad I got to spend it with my cute boys AND my buddy Suzanne all in one day! What a beautiful morning!
