Step 1: Gather 3 cute boys ages 5, 8, & 11
Step 2: Let these cutie boys paint mini pumpkins completely black.
Step 3: Let pumpkins dry completely. (In our case, we let them dry for like a week because, well, life got in the way of our cute project!)
Step 4: Cut white fun foam pieces into circles. Then half them. Take a hole punch and let your 5 year old punch out the spooky eyes!
Step 5: Trace "wings" out of black fun foam. Then, let 3 cute boys cut out with scissors.
Step 6: Place glue dots on the backs of the "wings" and TRY, TRY, TRY to make sure that the wings get attached the same direction they're supposed to go. When this DOESN'T happen, discreetly pull off the wings from pumpkins, so as not let your 5 year old see you are "fixing" his project that he wants to do by himself!
Step 7: Sit back and admire the cute winged bats that you've created!
Step 8: Place these spooky critters on the railing in the front of your house to show you have some kind of Halloween spirit!

Step 9: Take pictures to commemorate this fun activity with the boys
Step 10: Smile, because you all had such a wonderful time spending time together and making something cute!
