Thank Goodness for the MasterCard Symbol!

As I write this, it is 11:30 p.m. in Arizona. That means that it is 2:30 A.M. in Ohio. I am completely jet lagged OUT! I am so very tired, and I know I should be in bed, but I just wanted to get a quick chance to blog about our trip so far.

Yesterday's flight was pretty good. The kids did great! Daniel was the most freaked out by the take off and landing of the plane. Jackson was the most apprehensive, but did fine once we were actually traveling. We got out of Dayton about 5 minutes early, and arrived in Dallas/Ft. Worth at 28 minutes early! Wahoo! Good thing, too, because we just barely had time to get from Terminal C to Terminal A, use the restroom, and get the kids a sandwich before boarding our plane for Phoenix. We got on the plane, taxied out to the runway, and were immediately informed that we were #15 in line for take off! What?!?!? So, an hour later.....we were finally ready to go! All 3 kids fell asleep while we waited, so they got a little cat nap in. But, they were miffed to find out that after all that sleeping, we were still planted on the runway! LOL! Couldn't say that I blamed them. We arrived in Phoenix, and were met by our darling Suzanne! What a treat! By then, I was soooo tired, and the kids and their gazillion million questions were wearing a bit on my nerves. So, Suzanne offered to take our luggage, and my 2 youngest boys back home with her while Noah and I got the rental car. All was going well, until we were at the window checking the car out, and the lady told us we didn't have a minivan, but an SUV. The good part of the story.....they gave us the upgrade for the same minivan price! Hooray! Nicer car, (Chevy Traverse) and ROOMIER too! However, when I went to give her my license and credit card, my card was missing! I had just had it and couldn't find it anywhere! So, Noah and I went back to the garage and were FRANTICALLY looking for it for about 15-20 minutes. I was having a complete anxiety moment. The card was black, the garage was dark, and the lighting in the SUV was dim. It wasn't there. I told Noah, "I know you've looked, and so have I, but could you PLEASE just check one more time. Look down in the seats by the console, it could have fallen there. He looked in there, and well, said, "I FOUND IT!!!" He only happened to see the credit card (which is a black color) because of the tiny MasterCard symbol in the corner. The orange and yellow logo just glinted in the light for a second! What a relief! I was never so glad to see that logo until that moment! hooray! Hopefully, now our trip can go on without a hitch!
