Daniel expressed concerns before we left for Spring Break. He was very worried that the Easter Bunny wouldn't have a clue where we were, and what he would need to do with the baskets, if we didn't leave a note for him before we left. I assured him that the Easter Bunny KNOWS! He was so excited when the E.B. followed through on the promise on Easter Morning!
The kids and I were lucky to get to spend TWO Sundays in Arizona, and to get to go to church on Palm Sunday AND Easter. It was wonderful to get to go to the church that John and I met, and got married in, as well as had the 2 older boys Christened in. We met up with a lot of family friends, and got to visit with great people! We started off by attending the Boy Scout Pancake Breakfast, which John was a big part of when he was a scout at that same church!
Afterwards, we were fortunate enough to get invited to 3 Easters! The first was with our friends' Chris and Mary's families. They hold an annual Easter Egg Olympics every year. Complete with fabulous gifts and prizes! LOL! First, we were all supposed to find an Egg hidden in the yard. Once found, it could be turned in for a bag of yum-o Easter candy. Here is my friend Mary with her find!
The next activity was eating donut off of a string without using your hands. Only your mouth! And, if the donut falls to the ground, oh well! Too bad so sad! You eat it where it lays! First person done, wins! Here is Daniel giving it a good try! I was shocked that he didn't win! Hee hee! He is quite the master of donuts, as we know. In fact, he didn't even come close!
After the kids version, there was an adult version. John was a great sport, and was an active participant. Here he is pre-game with our fun friend Matt! (Side note: Matt won this HANDS DOWN!)
Easter Egg Relays were the next, and Noah was THRILLED that his team were the VICTORS!
There was a water balloon toss. It was going really good. Then the people who got out got a little bored, and decided that they were going to have a water balloon fight. Here is everyone hurrying to arm themselves! My Godson, Seth, smacked me right upside the head! He will pay for this!!!! just give me time! LOL!
Johnny is here getting into shooting some hoops for the Easter Olympics Basketball Game.
By far, the best memories of any time we get to spend with our dear friends, is just that. TIME! There never seems to be enough time to chat, laugh, talk, reminisce, and create memories. The old addage is true, "Time flies when you're having fun!" Here are some random shots of some of the fun we had that day!

Mary and ME!

I can't believe I met Chris when I was about 15 (almost 16)! My, my the time sure has flown by!

Chris and his oldest son, Seth, our Godson. Funny kid! Of course, he is the water balloon culprit, and well, enough said about that! LOL!

My cuties with 2 of Chris & Mary's cuties. The twins don't like having their picture taken, and well, one of them went MIA in this shot! Too bad, because I love this picture! I really think my boys got to make some great friendships of their own on this vacation! Just what I was hoping for!

Seth and Noah - Buddies!

Our friends the Mayberry's. It is Vanessa that got us all HOOKED on this blogging thing!

This is Suzanne's VERY HANDSOME son, Luke. He is the cutest guy! I remember when he was a kid about Noah's age, and he's grown into this wonderful man. I want to share a little something about Luke. He is funny, friendly, and so sweet!!!! Every time I get to go to Arizona, and actually get to see him and spend time with him, I think it is a delightful treat! This time was no exception. He works in a sporting goods store. He called home one night while we were there and asked his mom what size the boys all were. He guessed, and was very accurate. So, later that night, he came over and brought the boys these FABULOUS GIFTS!!!!! He got Jackson & Daniel official Arizona Diamondback baseballs, and real authentic Jersey's!!!!! HOW AWESOME! The kids were so jazzed! And, then, he brought Noah a Steelers baseball cap, T-shirt and Jersey! Noah was OVER THE MOON! In fact, he said, "Luke, I think you're my new best buddy!" LOL! The reason that THIS was MOST SPECTACULAR is that Luke is HUGE DIE HARD ARIZONA CARDINALS FAN!!!! For that young man to purchase Steelers paraphenalia after the Cardinals lost in the Super Bowl was quite the statement and testament of what an AWESOME person Luke is. I love ya, Lucas! You are such a sweetheart, and really helped make this trip wonderful for these boys!
