Airport Bound

So, today it is supposed to be 92 degrees! Whew! That is a bit toasty for me, but it is definitely a darn sight different than the SNOW I am hearing we are having in blustery Ohio. So, for now, I will grin and bear it, and get a cool drink and some sunglasses! LOL! The sacrifices I make! hee hee!

The boys are off getting ready and as soon as that happens we are off to run a few errands, and then pick their Daddy up at the airport. They are pretty glad he's coming. Daniel has had a slight case of the "missing daddies" syndrome. So, I think he'll be pretty glad to pick him up.

Sunday we went to church, and then that night, the boys hung out with Chris and his boys to play a rousing game of Monster. Whatever that is. Glorified tag in the darkness is what I think it is, but I was too afraid to ask! LOL! Meanwhile, I went to the Cheesecake Factory and met all of my FABULOUSLY FUN AND HILLARIOUS girlfriends! There was me, Valerie, Suzanne, Amanda, Erika, Stephanie, Emily, Vanessa, and Mary. What fun! We had dinner, drinks, talking, laughing. It was such a fun time, and the time just flew by! That is the most bummer-est (yes I said bummer-est) part of a vacation like this. Time going too fast!!!!

Yesterday we just basically hung out with my friend Mary and her 3 boys. We went to Apache Lanes (where we all used to go) to take in a round of bowling for FREE! Fun! Mary had a coupon (she always has GREAT coupons!) and we only had to pay for shoes. I even broke 100 on my score! Miracles DO happen, people! All of the kids did great, and we adults had a fun time too! Then, it was off to the local QT staion (which is kind of like our Speedways) except, bigger, and more sensory overload! They have these awesome and fun drinks there called "Twistables" or something like that. I can't remember. Anyhow, it's basically a hard plastic cup (that is refillable--and YES we've been 2 times!) and you can put one flavor of ICEE in one half and another different flavor in the other half. Very cool! The kids think this is the most cool thing, and I have to admit that I am digging it too! I chose White cherry and Sour Apple Twist for mine. Yummy, especially the Sour Apple! Daniel had Strawberry Banana with Blue Raspberry. Noah had Cola with Watermelon, and Jackson had Blue raspberry and watermelon. Suzanne chose Strawberry Banana and White cherry too. I'm not sure what Amanda had. Anyhow, it was a delicious and fun way to cool off. After that we headed back to our friends the Standages for swimming in their pool. Yes folks, I said SWIMMING. It was over 90 degrees and the water was probably about 65 degrees. Much like home in the summer, and those boys of ours were in H-E-A-V-E-N! I just layed by the pool and put my feet in. Brrrr, it was chilly!

Last night, Suzanne's son Luke and his girlfriend Sarah came over for dinner. That was such fun visiting with him! He is such a cutie and makes me laugh! The boys adore him of course, because he brought them Diamondbacks baseball jerseys and baseballs (Jackson & Daniel) and for Noah, he brought a Steelers Jersey, baseball cap and a t-shirt. Luke works at a sports store which the kids think is awesome! Noah said, "I think I made a brand new buddy!" LOL!

Well, it's off to get motivated to do something sunny and warm and fun. Then off to get John from the airport. He says he has been missing us, but I think the truth is he misses the SUN and has been jealous that we've been living it up seeing it for 5 days, and can't wait to get some of it!

I am sure they were all so excited, including you to see John. I think he was missing all of you too! Got Maggie all taken care of and she was GREAT! I have her getting picked up on Monday since they are open until 9 pm I think?
