So, on day 5 of the Great Valentine Giveaway, (LOL!) the boys were treated to Gift Certificates to the local Frisch's Big Boy restaurant and Wonka Tinglerz candy. These candies are kind of like "Pop Rocks" except they are chocolate. Kind of strange, but the kids thought they were really kind of cool!
I even got a special treat about mid-week this week. My favorite flowers are Tulips, and when I got up one morning, there was a pot of bright pink & white tulips that hadn't quite opened yet. As of today, they're almost all opened, and quite beautiful. What a great surprise!
The next Valentine surprise came in the form of Sour Patch Kids candy, and BOOKS!!!! We love to read at our house, and so I got each boy the kind of books that they're interested in right now. They were excited to get new books to read. I wonder where they get their avid reading skills???? (Says she who always has a book at her fingertips, purse, or bag she's carrying!)
Today, the boys are being treated to an extra special treat. Since it's Friday, they were each treated to their own bag of their favorite chips (personal sized of course) and then a Character Stylus for their Nintendo DS systems. Kind of a bigger thing than normal, but I thought they'd be great for traveling on our trip on the airplane for Spring Break. They each come with a strap that keeps the stylus on your wrist. So, I am hoping that this gift will be kind of for me when we're traveling. Trying to prevent lost stylus' and grumpy kids later was my M.O. LOL!
