I guess John and I have never been a typical couple. We don't always do what is "expected" of us to do. Take this Valentine's Day. One would think that we'd get a sitter, get dressed up and go out for a romantic dinner alone. Right? WRONG! Instead, we got invited to go to do this.....

Mind you, we didn't participate, we were merely spectators! We went with a huge group of our friends and their families to watch the local AA hockey team the Dayton Bombers. It was actually fun. We all met at our house before the game, and we had a nice family style baked spaghetti dinner, complete with bread, salad, dipping sauces, and of course DESSERT (compliments of Buffy and me and our lovely cake class!) Afterwards, we all headed to Hobart Arena for some hockey fun. Our two little sweetie pie children ended up staying the night at my parent's house, but Noah invited a friend to go along. It was a good time, and the kids really enjoyed themselves. Of course, there were picture taking opportunities, and many of us were feeling a little silly. Especially our friend Bryan. He doesn't really like having his picture taken, and I'm sure that when I post these images, he'll shy away from my camera even more. But, he is funny and makes me laugh, and I just had to share this quirky side of our fun friend!
This picture shows his silly side, and his lovely wife, Buffy.

Every time my cousin Tracy & I would try to get a picture, Bryan kept sticking his head in the shot. Convinced that Bryan wanted a picture with me, John took this one of me and Bryan. It actually didn't turn out half bad! Then there is this lovely picture of my cutie pie cousin, and myself. Little Delaney was too tuckered out to ham it up for the camera, and was sleeping, but Tracy & I never miss many opportunities to cheese it up. So, here we are!

There ARE a few hillarious pictures I took of John, but he refused to let me post them here! Spoil Sport! They make me giggle, when I see him. At any rate, I'm glad we got to spend the "Day of Love" with some of our favorite people. After all, isn't that what "love" is really all about? Go and enjoy your day with someone you love!! We did!
