Ahhhh, Christmas Morning......such a magical time. Everyone expects to rise early in the morning and rush down to see the wonderful goodies Santa has left for them! The aroma of cinnamon rolls and freshly brewed coffee fill the air.......oh wait, did I mention the EARLY part? The boys are usually up and at it before the sun rises. I am good with that. I expect it. However....this year....when I heard the rumblings of little feet barreling down the stairs and the wee voices whispering in my ears....I looked at my clock and it read: 1:58 A.M. WHAT???? You've got to be kidding me. I always SWORE I would NEVER tell the kids to go back to bed. *Big Sigh* But, this year, I broke that promise! They were not very happy when I asked them to try to rest a little while longer. Apparently, when they left my room, they couldn't contain themselves, and so went and played video games until 3:30 a.m. They then came back in anxious to get cracking on those presents. I begrudgingly got up, to find that I was sick to my stomch. So, we didn't have coffee...I had a cold Sprite to fend off the nausea. Ugh! Through it all, the boys were so very excited, and loved everything Santa brought. Noah even got his very own cell phone! Exciting! Jackson got the entire series of Wimpy Kid books he was wishing for and Daniel got the Toy Story Mania Wii game. I think they were pretty glad. ME? Well, I loved every minute of their joyous faces! After the last gift was opened? I took a nap! :0) May all of your Holidays be Bright!
