Stacks of Snowfall

The past few days, there has been snow, snow, and more snow here in Ohio. I was seriously beginning to wonder if it was EVER going to STOP! But, alas it did. And so my handsome children and I decided to measure how many inches we got. We measured it on our deck out back, and it said about 9 inches. And, in our front yard it was a little over 5 inches. I think the difference comes from the open space and drifting. But, it was really amazing. In fact, they're calling for more snow tonight, and over the next couple of days. I think the worst is behind us.

In the meantime, all of the boys decided that they were going to use the new snowball formers that Santa brought and have a mini snowball fight before we headed out to dinner. So, these lovely formers make perfect snowballs about the size of a large orange. This may seem like a weird gift for Santa to have brought, but it's great for little ones like Daniel who get frustrated easily because their snow won't pack. And, because his older brothers are pummeling him with snowballs and he doesn't have a chance! But, they all have one, and the long handles make it easy to "launch" the snowballs too! Very nice snowballs you guys have.....just don't throw them at Mommy!
The "Don't Throw it at Mommy" plan was great, until ornery Noah decided that he was going to test the limits. As you can tell, he really is gearing up to throw it at me. And, after warning him, and warning him NOT to hit the camera, he DID throw it at me. He is still able to tell the tale, however, when he least expects it, there WILL be a sneak attack, and I plan on being victorious!!! LOL! I feel it noteworthy to tell everyone, that after my husband was giving me grief this afternoon about driving too fast (which #1 I wasn't doing and #2 he is so one to talk!) he ended up going to quickly, hit a patch of ice, and ended up in a ditch this evening! He is fine, and the little boys are fine too. They all ended up walking a block (which in the country was probably a little bit of a jaunt) and a person driving by helped him tow the van out of the ditch. This weather will do crazy things, and EVERYONE must be careful and watch out for icy roads!

I think by far those are the cutest snowball makers ever! Madison was so mad yesterday that she couldn't make a snowball. What a great idea!
