Buffy was exceptionally excited to go to dinner at her fave restaurant. Before we went, Buffy had told me all about this wonderful restaurant, and how when she isn't pregnant that she loves to order their White Sangria with her dinner. Since she IS pregnant right now, she informed me that it was my duty as her friend to drink one of these yummy drinks FOR her. Being the dutiful friend, I happily obliged. I mean, she was driving after all! We had a great time laughing, talking, me sipping my sangria......
Buffy even joked that after the baby, she might think about doing a little of this.....
One would think, that with bestest of friends, that they wouldn't blackmail you. I have been in this situation a few times, and always end up getting talked into things that these so-called besties wouldn't want you to do. Hmmmm, a few things come to mind......ziplining in Hawaii (SBM & AJM) and then a certain "harmless" water log ride (CS & MC)....and now, Thanks to BJW2 SANGRIA!!!!!! Despite what the following picture looks like, I had only 1/4 of the SINGLE, ONLY drink I'd had. But, give a pregnant girl a camera, sense of humor, and well, control, and the following is what you get. For those viewers who are faint of heart, you might turn away.......
Just for the record, I was completely sober at this point, and was laughing and talking, and completely blackmailed by my "date". There is a word for this sort of thing, though I think Buffy's word is currently "hillarious!" Though, I will admit that by the time I had finished this fruity devil of a drink, I was feeling, really relaxed, and warm! ("Whew is it HOT in here?" LOL!)
So on to DWTS on Tour. Buffy and I had to walk back to the parking garage to put my camera back, because once we got to the doors, we were informed that my camera was "professional" grade and that I couldn't take it in. Little did they know that the camera's operator is less than professional, and can barely work it! LOL! But, Buffy was able to take hers in, and we got a few shots. AFter we got into the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati and were quickly greated by a girl trying desperately to get people to answer a trivia question for a PRIZE! Hi! I am all about that sort of thing! So, she asked the person ahead of us walking by, what the answer to the trivia question was, they proceeded to keep walking, ignoring her. Ever the shy girls, I piped in, "Hey! I know the answer!" So, she let me answer the question, and Buffy & I BOTH won prizes! Wahoo! Of course, the guy next to us won a Samsung Eternity cell phone that isn't available until 2015, but I'm not bitter! LOL! He's missing out, because he could have had these lovely parting gifts.....
Disco Ball Keychain for Buffy-Lou
After taking our seats, it was time for the show to begin. I can't even put into words how ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, WONDERFUL, FUN, EXCITING, FANTASTIC the show was! The celebrities there were Maurice Greene, Marlee Matlin, Toni Braxton and Lance Bass! We also got to see all of our favorite dancers: Edyta, Cheryl Burke, Lacey Schwimmer, Mark Ballas, Derek Hough (for Buffy) and Maksim (for ME!) and others!!!! The dances were so awesome, and the band from the show was there playing live. It was wonderful! Buffy and I even got to briefly chat with the head guy of the band (one of the singers) but we didn't completely realize it. LOL! Our favorites dances, besides ALL of them, were the Jive, Quickstep, Waltz, Paseo Doable. (spelling?) But, it was awesome! My favorite dance of Lacey & Lance was the "#1" dance they did this season. The group dances of the "train" was pretty cool. And, they did a beautiful waltz as a group too.
The costumes were amazing!!! Especially the dresses of the waltz. It was also Maks' birthday and the entire arena sang Happy Birthday to him. I love him, can I just say? He is an amazing dancer, and well, no B.S. here, he is HOT! I loved looking at him in his tuxedo, in his open shirt, in his Airline Pilot Uniform (steamy!) and, well, Shirtless!!! Just when I thought he couldn't get better, well, HE DID! Buffy thought I was hillarious, but it was probably just my Sangria talking! At the end of the show, the dancers came up into the areas where we were all sitting. Edyta was right on the floor in front of us. Derek Hough was 2 sections away, and well, Mr. Hottie Maks was 3 sections away! Darn it that the camera wasn't cooperating then!!! But, my eyes worked just fine, and it was wonderful! It was truly one of the most enjoyable events I've ever had the pleasure of going to. And, I would totally go again! I can't say thanks enough for letting me go. You're the best!
