Bowling Birthday Bash!!

Today we had Daniel's birthday party at one of the local Bowling Alleys in Troy. We ended up having 13 children!! Whew! Some children were family, others were our close friends children, and then of course, school friends from Kindergarten. We had 4 lanes of bowling with these cutie pies bowling their hearts out! What fun it was to watch them bowl, and be so encouraging to each other with every pin that fell. I have to admit that watching the joy on their faces as they did well, light up the room. We did have the bumpers in the gutters to help out, but some of the kids didn't even need them. Obviously the older 3 boys didn't need them as much as the younger kids, but they were able to do some trick shots by "banking" some of their shots. Hillarious! I was surprised that Daniel actually could throw a pretty mean ball, and could keep the ball out in the middle of the lane. My cousin's oldest daughter, Gretchen, did really well too and ended up getting a few strikes! Way to go girl!

We had yummy chocolate cake from our local Marsh grocery store bakery. We all love their cake
so much! Mmmmmm!
Daniel got a lot of wonderful gifts. Lots of Hot Wheels stuff, which is his current obsession! And, he got a 24 pack of Play-Doh!!! Who ever has seen so many cans of Play=Doh in one package?

He loves playing with that a lot too! He loved every single gift he got, and was a good boy and said Thank You to each child after opening the gifts. I was pretty glad about that. He was afraid he was getting Barbies, & Dress Up clothes, because some of our hillarious friends told him that's what he was getting. He said today, "What if I get girl stuff?" Then, I told him, "You'll say "thank you" and move on! The look of shear shock was evident on his face. So funny! It's always fun to get a rise out of him. This was one of the most relaxed and fun birthday parties we've had! Happy Birthday Party Day! HOORAY! These next pictures of Daniel kind of made me laugh. The first one is of him, his brothers and his other buddies. The second one is of him kicking back with his little girlfriends. He's surrounded by all of these cute girls, and he's got his arms behind his head, as if to say, "Look at me, I'm the Man!" You ARE the man, Danner! You ARE the birthday man!
