The Artful Dodgers: A 3rd Grade Remake with a "Twist" of OLIVER!

This year, the Miami East 3rd grade classes put on a fall program entitled "The Artful Dodgers". This was a part Oliver! part baseball twist. If you wanted a speaking part, then you had to try out for them during music class. Jackson actually tried out for 3 of them, none of them being the lead of Oliver. Why, I don't know. But, he DID get the part of Scott, which ironically was the 2nd longest part of the play! He did a really good job, and was one of the more dramatic and funnier performers! Imagine that! Jackson is such a ham, but totally hillarious and great at what he does! My cousin Tracy and her family came to watch his performance as well. That really meant a lot to have them there. Nice to have supportive family come, when it wasn't even one of their children in the play! We love them so much! Needless to say, his dad and I were very proud of him. Jackson did a wonderful job!

The moral of the story ended up being that everyone works well together rather than apart. Thus, the dramatic end with "TEAMWORK!" spelled out and "RAH, RAH, RAH" flipped over on the back with a baseball flair! Very cute and so true!
