Open Houses and Meet the Teacher

Tuesday, Noah had his Junior High School Orientation and Open House. We all went, and got to see his classrooms, new locker assignment, and meet his homeroom teacher, Mrs. Haney. She seemed really nice. This year, it doesn't seem like Noah has many kids he knows in his class. They're mostly people he hasn't been in class with before. This will be a new experience for him. One of the "fun" things that they did during the Open House was find Noah's new locker. He thought it would be hillarious to put his brothers inside one of them. Ironically, the little sillies thought it was funny too! Of course, after the "photo op" when they tried to get out, Daniel struggled, got stuck, tripped over his sandal and fell on the floor. Needless to say, he didn't find it nearly as hillarious as the rest of us did. Talk about cheap thrills!
The next night, we went to Jackson & Daniel's Open House. Jackson hurriedly put all of his school supplies in his new locker in the new wing he's now graduated to. His 3rd grade teacher is Mrs. Noll. She seems very nice, and Jackson liked her. He was also pleased to find out that his science teacher is Mrs. McCuistion who Noah had when he was in 3rd grade. He was excited because he loves animals of all kinds, and Mrs. McCuistion has turtles, and other little critters in terrariums in her classroom.
After that, we took our youngest son to meet his teacher. Daniel will be in the Kindergarten "B" class and is in Mr. Elifritz's class. Of course, that is quite a mouthful for him to say, and he's messed up a few times and called him Mr. Elephant. Cracks me up! Daniel will go all day every other day for school with alternating cycles. So, week 1 he'll go Monday/Wednesday/Friday and the next week he'll go Tuesday/Thursday, and flip flop this schedule all year long. He is most excited to ride the big yellow school bus like his brothers!
