This summer has been filled with so many fun things for the boys and I to do together. One of this year's summer traditions was to go to our piano lessons early every Friday morning. Then, we'd pick a place to have a lunch date and then we'd pick a movie that was released that day and go see it. We've seen many fun movies that we've really enjoyed. Only a few have been complete dudders. Of course, we had our total favorites. One of the most exciting parts of the summer was that we got to see two 3-D movies. Journey to the Center of the Earth and Fly Me To Moon. The glasses are fun of course, and the boys thought it was really neat to see a movie that needed the glasses! When we were watching Journey to the Center of the Earth, Daniel yelled out in the middle of the theater, "LOOK Mommy! It's coming right to me!!!" All the while, he was reaching out in front of himself and grabbing for the bird that was flying at us! Some of the movies we saw were......Kung Fu Panda, Wall-E, Space Chimps, Journey to the Center of the Earth (3D), Meet Dave, Speed Racer, Fly Me to The Moon (3D) and I think today we're going to see The Clone Wars. On a side note, two more adult movies that I saw this summer that I loved were What Happens in Vegas (which John and I cracked up through the whole thing!) and Mamma Mia! That movie is Great! I would see it over and over again! And, the soundtrack is amazing. Even the boys like to sing along to it in the car! That is another crack up too! I'm so glad that the boys love to go to the movies as much as their Mamma! It's been a fun tradition I will be sad to see end this year, but one that I will gladly look forward to for next summer.
