The Dreaded Bee!!!!!!!!!

Today, Noah had a baseball game in the neighboring town of Covington. The great thing about Covington Park is that it has a HUGE playground for the kids to play on. Daniel loves going there! Well, today, Noah's game was delayed by over an hour, due to a girl's softball game that was running WAY behind. Everything was going along fine, until I heard a blood curdling scream! I recognized it immediately!!! Daniel was on the ground hysterical crying and yelling for me! I ran over and found that he had been stung by a bee! Not a huge emergency, but he was beside himself. And, I had all of these moms hovering continually asking me, "Is he allergic? Should we call the squad?" I realized they were trying to be helpful, however, I was trying to remain calm for Daniel, and yet, they were kinda hypeing me up. I mean, he'd never been stung by a bee before, so to my knowledge,, he wasn't allergic, but I didn't know for sure! He had been stung in between the openings of his sandal on the side of his big toe.

After insisting, in his most dramatic wail, "I'm gonna diiiiiiiiiiieeeeeee!" I convinced him to calm down! We walked over to where my mom and I were sitting, and had a blanket spread out that he could sit on and recuperate. He hadn't gone into shortness of breath, so I was pretty sure he wasn't going to need the squad. I asked him, "Daniel, do you think that a popsicle would help your toe?" He replied, more calmly, "Oh yes, I think a Sponge Bob Squarepants one will do the trick!" LOLOLOLOL! So, here he is with an ice pack on his toe to get the swelling down and a popsicle in hand rapidly on the mend.....................
It's absolutely amazing what a little popsicle can cure! I wonder if they listed this in a medical journal? LOL!

I was rolling with the "I am going to die" wail because I can only imagine the whole park heard him, LOL. And you have to give the boy kudos for working the bee sting to his advantage and getting his SB ice cream!! Got to love our Daniel!!
