Every parent wants to think that they have the most brightest kids on the block, right? Well, I was pleasantly surprised to learn a few wonderful things about my oldest children this week. First of all, Noah is a potential candidate for his Spelling Bee & Geography Bee this week. It all depends on one person, I think, so we shall see how that goes.
At the beginning of the week, Noah & Jackson each received a letter to them, and us, their parents, informing us all that based on the standardized tests for Ohio (OAT's) they are considered gifted by the county & state. WAHOO! How exciting is that! They were then offered to be able to participate in enrichment classes that are held one Saturday a month, beginning in January and running through May, at no cost to us. The courses sounded really interesting, and the kids were super excited to be able to participate! So, they signed up for them all. We will find out after Christmas how many they were accepted into based on space availability. Let Daniel not feel left out! He isn't old enough to take the tests, so before I get comments & emails about how he's doing, let me just go ahead and address this! LOL! Of course, one more cool thing, my cousin's daughter, Gretchen, got a letter too! Pretty smart cookies the 3 of them! I'm so proud of them all! Of course, if you ask me & Tracy, we won't hesitate to tell you that they got all their brains from their Mama's! LOL! But, no one has really asked us yet! Oh well! CONGRATS KIDS! Way to go!!!!
