Young Ladies are So Forward!

It has happened! While John and I were away to Chicago for 4 days, it happened. It wasn't even when I was here that it happened! Our friends, Buffy and Bryan had to deal with "the happening" all while I was away and unknowing! When we returned home from Chicago tonight, I was checking our answering machine messages from the weekend. And there it was--the audible evidence! As I listened, I gasped and couldn't believe what I was hearing! There a sweet, young ladies voice said, "Hi Noah! This is Chris, and I was wanting you to call me back as soon as you can after you get this. Okay, talk to you later. Byeeee!" That sweet sing song voice, was innocent enough, but a Mom of a Son knows better! I heard DOOM in that message! So, I told Noah that he had a message on the machine from a girl. "Oh, I know. That was Chris B. She asked me to go to the football game Friday night because she had a ticket for me. I asked Bryan and he said he'd talk to Buffy, but he said he "forgot" and that she could try again after you and Dad got home." WHAT?!?!?!?!?!? I knew it! A girl had asked my son out on a date of sorts! OMG! He is only 11-1/2 for goodness sakes!!! Why are these little girls so forward? Ugh! I have been dreading this day, and now it has arrived. It arrived out of nowhere without warning! LOL! You might note that there isn't a photo for today. This is due to the fact that its sort of hard to take a picture of yourself as you are passed out on the floor in complete shock and horror! Hee hee!

So, after a little while, I say to Noah, "I don't know how I feel about you being asked out on a date by this girl." And, he replied to me, with his sweet smileon his face, "Well, of course she asked me. Who wouldn't want to date me? I am irresisitible! In fact, I'd date me if I could!" Ha! He is hillarious!!!!! What a riot! I think maybe his mom has put TOO much self confidence into his little personality. I should go for now, I have to chain and barricade doors down, and put a bug on my phone!

I guess girls feel like they have to be forward cause the boys might not ever get around to it! "yeah, that's it!"

Forgot huh? Likely story - he didn't want to deal with the storm named Missy - LOL.
At least they were going to a very public place, so everyone would see everything and report back, benefits of small schools I have learned - LOL.
You know I remember Junior High and going to meet boys at the football game, of course I got one planted on me there too! Pondering now - tell him next home game that would be great and if Chris B wants to still go that would be fine and we would love for her to sit with all of us - LOL.
