Miami East Band and Choir Concert 2009

Noah is a very musical young man. He plays alto saxophone, some piano, and wants to begin taking guitar lessons. This is his first year in choir, which all 7th graders are required to take for 1/2 a year. A surprising twist, came, when he came home and asked to be a part of Honors Choir that his choir teacher told him about and encouraged him to join. He loves it! They will be competing this year at various venues, and his choir teacher told him he was THRILLED because, Noah sings bass (just like his Daddy) and can sing a low E. Impressive, as even his teacher can't do that, he said. Mr. Lozano is already trying to prep and recruit him for the High School choir and maybe even show choir. That is kind of hillarious as he's only in 7th grade! At any rate, on December 3rd, Noah was part of a combined winter band and choir and honors choir concert. It was wonderful to see these kids perform. The songs were great, and the band music was wonderful! I have to admit that my favorite part was seeing them in their required outfit for the evenings.....boys had to wear black slacks, a white dress shirt, and tie was optional. Noah looked so handsome....and so grown up! Can't wait to watch him develop his musical talent over time, and we are so proud and pleased about his accomplishments!
